Exit Through the Gift Shop is a film about Thierry Guetta, a graffiti stalker who chronicled Shepard Fairey and other key players of the street-art scene with his camcorder over eight years. Guetta's holy grail was to shoot the ever-elusive British artist Banksy. And he succeeded — he even helped Banksy hang an effigy of a Guantánamo prisoner in Disneyland — though the artist's identity is still cloaked in hoodies and voice alteration. The film is an edit by Banksy of Guetta's home videos. Or so we're led to believe. Rumors are circulating that the documentary is a performance-art prank, and that (gasp!) Guetta may even be Banksy himself.

Landmark Century Centre Cinema says…

Landmark says: Exit Through the Gift Shop is the story of how an eccentric French shop keeper and amateur film maker attempted to befriend global graffiti artist Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner with spectacular results.
