featuring Shoddy Puppet Company, Ramshackle Enterprises, Susan Simpson, Marian de Lellis and
Meredith Miller.
Projections and puppets and roughly cut cardboard – anything goes when stories come off their banners and walk around. The third coast welcomes east coast world premieres by Philadelphia’s Shoddy Puppet Co. and Ramschakle Enterprises and west coast wonders from L.A. Marsian and Susan Simpson.

Last Weekend of Cantastoria
Three weekends celebrating cantastoria, a performance form dating back to sixth-century India that involves a storyteller telling or singing a narrative while gesturing at images, either on a still series or a moving scroll. Curated by Theater Oobleck company member Dave Buchen and veteran puppeteer (and longtime cantastoria aficianado) Clare Dolan, each weekend features both local and international artists in puppeteering and theater, from renowned companies like Bread and Puppet theater, of which Dolan is a veteran, and Blair Thomas to emerging artists. Opening weekend looks particularly strong, with an appearance by toy-theater legends Great Small Works — who appeared in Seth Bockley's toy theater festival at Links Hall this winter.
