Russel Neswick’s Concrete Wonders:
The Coral Reef
Join us for a tour of the recently discovered and rarely seen Coral Reef in Indiana! Russel Neswick, a former Chicago attorney, who arrived at art later in life, taught himself how to use sculpture techniques to carry out his vision for the “world’s largest above ground coral reef.” For over 15 years, he has been embellishing two acres of his land with whimsical creations, including a whale made from an old car and six foot tall penguins. Elliott Abel, a Chicago filmmaker, has been documenting Neswick’s Coral Reef for over two years.
During this special event, you will tour the reef with the artist, view a rough cut of the Coral Reef documentary with the filmmaker and enjoy a picnic lunch. Intuit will have transportation options available or you may travel on your own. Please contact us to make reservations: intuit@art.org or 312-243-9088.
