“It's the 100-year anniversary of Ox-Bow, the art school and artists' residency in Michigan; and to celebrate the centennial, there are a number of exhibitions and programs throughout the summer, including a pair of shows in Chicago (the residency has long been affiliated with SAIC). The first, at Roots and Culture, houses a mostly contemporary show by Ox-Bow artists from fellowship recipients to faculty members; while Corbett vs. Dempsey showcases some of the most significant Ox-Bow artists, ranging from the early-20th century through mid-century modernists and the decades beyond.”
