Does the title of this sketch comedy show refer to the cast or the audience? The answer, of course, is both. In its 98th mainstage revue, the Second City reminds us that our lease on life has a termination date, so we'd better seize the day. Simultaneously arguing for and providing merriment in the face of impending doom, director Matt Hovde's top-notch cast delivers a balanced blend of touching human moments, setup-joke sprints, and outré life lessons (don't internalize the questionable advice from Uncle Charles). Amid all the written material, there's also the potent immediacy of Shelly Gossman's instant monologue using random objects borrowed from the audience. After all, life is short.

The Second City says…

In the blockbuster of human life, we all know the outcome — no spoiler alert needed. In spite of this inevitable ending, we continue to live our lives, find joy and understand the world around us. Sometimes our path leads us to save the world and sometimes our path is to simply remind our husband where they left their keys — it's what you make of it and how you deal with it that matters. From cold feet on your wedding day to the comfort of viewing the comic misadventures of others on reality TV, Spoiler Alert: Everybody Dies reminds us that in the end, we are all in this together.
