Fresh off a stacked, Brion Gysin-nodding collaborative performance in Brooklyn that also included work by Scott Treleaven and Genesis P-Orridge, Terence Hannum (City of Liars, Unlucky Atlas, Locrian) returns home for this two-week solo exhibition. His goache drawings feature classic amplifiers, rendered in stark, high-contrast black-and-white — neither of which will come as a surprise to those familiar with Locrian's deafening, black-metal experimentalism. Triptychs are arranged, according to Hannum, "akin to medieval narrative devices," sharing space with a reel-to-reel installation. But for all his fixations on the archaic, the Beautiful/Decay vet always feels restlessly contemporary.
