Flavorpill Chicago's Deputy Editor, Monica Westin, who has also extensively surveyed outsider/self-taught artists for the Huffington Post and New City, discusses the work and legacy of the celebrated, uber-prolific Howard Finster. Today's panel, moderated by Curator of Exhibitions for the Chicago Cultural Center, Lanny Silverman, also includes film producer Steven Pattie, who screens his in-progress Finster doc I Can Feel Another Planet in My Soul; and Naperville collector Jim Arient, who loaned many of the pieces in Stranger in Paradise (see our preview from July), the impressive exhibition with which today's talk is in conjunction.
