“Spanning eight days and boasting scores of troupes, the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, now in its tenth year, doesn't lend itself to easy précis. But looking over the mammoth schedule, several highlights emerge. Some of the best home teams: Pastor Dave Shepherd and the much-loved Best Church of God; iO/Teatro Luna's Latina improvisers MARIA; and the stupefyingly inventive Tim & Micah Project, along with a couple of that duo's strong, associated acts, namely pH Productions and Bri-Ko — which also features SketchFest founder Brian Posen. Notable out-of-towners include LA's hilarious Summer of Tears and New York's FUCT and New Exc!tement. Maximum Party Zone leads a trio of reuniting SketchFest OGs.”
