“Still craving text art or book art after Write Now at the Cultural Center? Head to the MCA's exhibition of Dieter Roth, where you will find a small library's worth of material through which to dig, along with drawings and early sound art (emphasis on the noise part of sound). Roth appears restless as an artist, constantly exploring new forms of making work and even teaching himself how to draw with both hands. The usual "no touching" rule is lifted momentarily as visitors are allowed to handle the actual artist books, suspended from wires in the gallery.”
