In 17th century Italy, Galileo Galilei is making the discoveries that will place him among the world's greatest scientists. Marina Gamba wants to learn from the great professor, but can only do so disguised as a man. When her secret comes to light, her life and the exploration of science are changed forever. Written by Columbia College Chicago Playwriting professor Lisa Schlesinger, this world-premiere production explores a universe of fantastical characters in conflict with religious doctrine, class and gender roles, all changing the universe while discovering new CELESTIAL BODIES. This play is intended for mature audiences.
