“The long-running Tulsa, OK-based film festival returns to Chicago with the latest grab bag of assorted award-winning shorts, low-budget indie premieres, and — why not? — the odd '80s crowd-pleasing comedy here and there, just to keep you on your toes. New options include docs about the 1982 Video Game Champions (Chasing Ghosts); the infamous, hivemind-exposing Third Wave Experiment of 1967 (Lesson Plan); and a modern group of God-fearing blackjack hustlers (Holy Rollers). This year's familiar palate cleansers play to the home crowd with Chicago-centric titles: Blues Brothers (1980), Child's Play (1988), and a John Hughes twofer, Weird Science (1985) and Sixteen Candles (1984).”
