Playwright Jon Steinhagen takes you to the unusual days preceding the largest snowfall in Chicago history and then sharply dives into the lives of four carpooling businessmen in the months and years following the infamous 1967 storm. Under the careful direction of Russ Tutterow, each character earns big laughs with strong performances across the cast. The comedic and dramatic range of Stephen Spencer (Henkin) is amazing, and the interplay of lively Andy Lutz (Emery) amid deadpan Andy Hager (Bell) is cleverly arranged and executed. John Gawlik (Landfield) also shines, constantly driving the action of an unsurprising rivalry with a very surprising agreement. Over the course of Steinhagen's play, the truth and demands of the late '60s are slowly thawed out and exposed, leaving you only wanting more.
