As part of the weekly Tuesday Evenings in the Café series, every fourth Tuesday features one-hour sets by Chicago musicians called Face the Strange. The January performance features Aleks and the Drummer, an organ and percussion duo that combines fast punk energy with the music of Eastern Europe, specifically the singer's native Poland. Organist and vocalist, Aleks Tomaszewska has a clear and distinct voice and the drum beats, played by Deric Criss, have the style of surf-punk.
