“Veteran doom-metal act YOB visited Chicago just last July, but any chance to experience the band's body-enveloping sonic wave is reason to thrill. YOB's stunning sixth album, Atma (Profound Lore), was a usual suspect on Best of 2011 lists — even gracing a couple of high-profile, all-encompassing, non-metal-specific wrap-ups, The New York Times and SPIN.
