Directions: On the south end of Northwestern University's campus, just off Sheridan Road. Free parking at NU after 4 pm weekdays and all day weekends. Near the CTA Purple Line Davis and Foster stops and the Metra Davis stop.
Dearborn Observatory, 2131 Tech Drive, Northwestern University, Evanston Join us at Northwestern University's observatory for an evening of stargazing! Block Museum senior curator Debora Wood will give a presentation about the first printed representations of the constellations. Charles Deering McCormick University Distinguished Lecturer Michael Smutko will discuss how stars were mapped before the invention of the telescope. Aftwards we'll view the night sky through the University astronomy department's historic telescope. Limited to 30 participants. Preregistration is required at 847.491.4852 or blockeducation@northwestern.edu. Rain date is February 15.
