“Deadmau5 may be considered to be the most famous Canadian-born DJ right now, but we'd rather take Montreal-born A-Trak any day, thank you very much. He has five world championship titles under his belt, and was the first DJ to win top honors from DMC, ITF, and Vestax. A-Track (who is currently based in New York) is credited for creating the notation system for scratching, and has been Kanye's go-to touring DJ for years. He was also one of DJ AM's closest friends, and when the former Rain resident died in 2009, it was A-Trak who stepped up to fill AM's considerable shoes and perform alongside his fallen friend's former TRV$DJAM collaborator, Travis Barker. If his accomplishments and contributions haven't earned some serious street cred, nothing will.”
