“On the Venn diagram of local underground rock, Radar Eyes occupy the overlap between our garage-rock, neo-shoegaze, and psychedelic circles (arguably the three strongest current rock scenes in Chicago). The band celebrates their sharp, worth-the-wait self-titled debut LP (HoZac) with tonight's free record-release show at The Empty Bottle. Try the Velvets/JAMC dark throb of "Disconnection" and the shimmering, elemental indie-pop of "Miracle," excellent standalones and also instructive of the poles between which the Eyes run so well. Bare Mutants (members of the Ponys, Mannequin Men, and the 1900s) also celebrate their new HoZac release, the debut 7'' "Without You" b/w "Inside My Head."”
