One of the most thriving companies in the Chicago fringe theatre scene, the American Theatre Company is unafraid to take risks. The North Center institution is known for innovative staging and tackling new works that hold their own against American classics; and the much-publicized rumblings in the ranks in 2009 haven’t skipped ATC’s step in the least.
