Amy Mayfield is a Chicago-based artist who creates seductive, decadent, and detailed paintings by merging micro and macro worlds that spring from a personal encrypted consciousness. A 2006 MFA graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Mayfield has had a solo show at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and has an exhibited in a variety of group shows in Chicago including Gallery 400, Bucket Rider Gallery, Hyde Park Art Center.
