Andrés Sandoval studied Architecture at University of São Paulo, and has worked as an illustrator since 2001. He was invited to the Biennial of Illustration of Bratislava (Slovakia) and Montreuil Children's Book Fair (France), where he conducted an illustration workshop and presented the drawings of Amazonas, published in Brazil and France.
Since 2006, he has illustrated regularly for Piauí magazine. He has created the “Trópicos de Melissa” collection and developed textile patterns for Brazilian brands. In 2007 and 2008, Andrés exhibited a series of articulated paper objects at galleries Gravura Brasileira and Florence Antonio (São Paulo). In 2008, he painted a mural at Illustrative (Switzerland) and illustrated a book for the Brazillian writer Jorge Amado.
