Cindy Stockton-Moore is a Philadelphia-based artist who finds cataclysm in the midst of leisure. Her paintings have recently been featured in the group exhibitions The Object Direct at Heskin Contemporary in New York, New York, New Work at Mississippi State University, and Encaustic Works 2009 at the Castle Gallery in New Rochelle, NY.
Her collaborative project, Salvage, created with Abby Goodman, is on view until October in the Season-Long Interactive Sculpture Garden on Governor's Island, NY. Cindy teaches art and art history at a number of colleges in the Philadelphia area, and her writing on art has been published in the New York Sun, NYArts Magazine, and various web and university publications.She received her MFA in Painting from Syracuse University in 2001.
