Joyce Kim was born in New York in 1985. She received a BFA in video and concentrated in photography at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. Since graduating in 2007, she continues to live and work in Baltimore, where she is involved in the production of documentary and narrative films, while also focusing on her own photography. She is a founding member of Neon Gray, a multidisciplinary art and design collective from Baltimore and San Francisco.
