Kiersten Essenpreis hails from the suburbs of Chicago; she later moved to Brooklyn where she received a BFA from the Pratt Institute, and where she currently lives and works as a freelance illustrator. Her work has been seen in publications such as the New York Times, Nylon, GQ, and Wired. She hopes to someday rediscover living in America, perhaps on a farm in the middle of nowhere.
