Marcin Plonka was born in Lancut, Poland in 1986 and now lives in Wroclaw, where he is studying graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. Travel has always been an inspiration for Plonka's different projects, and his photographs are a combination of raw realism and individual focus upon his subjects. His photography has been featured in both solo and group exhibitions in Wroclaw and Warsaw, including the galleries of the Association of Polish Art Photographers. His reportage from the Aral Sea was nominated for prestigious Polish Grand Press Photo Award in 2008.
