Thomas Prior was born in Los Angeles and raised in London and New Jersey. In 2002, he earned his BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. Prior currently lives in Brooklyn, NY, and has been the first assistant and printer to fashion photographer Luis Sanchis for the last nine years.

Hotel Fire is part of Prior's Color Photographs 2003-2008 series, "The last five years of my life have been disjointed and transient. The only constant was the impulse to make photographs that may allow me to someday remember and understand."

This week's covers are presented in collaboration with Flak Photo. Flak Photo is a photography website featuring distinctive work from an international community of contributors that promotes interesting visual approaches to the world and celebrates the art of exhibiting quality photography online.
