Tony Fitzpatrick isn't just a Chicago artist, he's an institution — an accomplished poet, actor, and raconteur, among other roles. But foremost, he's a champion of Chicago and its rich history. The project Tony Fitzpatrick: The Wonder — Portraits of a Remembered City is a love poem to the city and to his childhood memories, in which text and images are combined and collaged with pieces of Chicago history to tell a personal history of the town he loves. The exhibition will be on view in the Sidney R. Yates Gallery on the fourth floor of the Chicago Cultural Center from Saturday, May 3rd to Sunday, June 29th.
