As a photographer for US News & World Report during the years of the civil rights movement, Warren K. Leffler covered many of the marches and events, including the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, which took place on August 28, 1963. At the Lincoln Memorial, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech, advocating racial equality and an end to segregation.
