Wayne Haag was born in Melbourne, Australia and graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1994 with a BA in photography. This led to a 15-year career in the film industry as a matte painter and concept artist for such films as The Fifth Element, The Lord of the Rings, and dozens of television commercials. Wayne is in the process of changing careers to fine art painting, which blends his sensibility for reportage photography with his love of science fiction. He currently lives and works in Sydney.
