Wayne White has shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the US, Italy, and Sweden. He is represented by Western Project in Los Angeles and Clementine Gallery in New York. Wayne White is known for his paintings of text superimposed on second-hand, mass-produced lithographs. In addition to his activities as a visual artist, White has been an illustrator and cartoonist for several publications, and as directed, produced, written, designed, and puppeteer'd for various television programs, advertisements, and music videos. Highlights include art direction for the Smashing Pumpkins' music video "Tonight, Tonight", production design and puppeteering for Pee-wee's Playhouse, and art direction for Peter Gabriel's music video "Big Time". Wayne White lives and works in LA and is preparing for his exhibition at Western Project, opening Sat Mar 15. A full-color monograph on the artist, produced and edited by Todd Oldham, will be released in October.
