“There are plenty of rogue "golden statue" parties in town, but there's only one in Dallas that can use the Oscar name - legally, at least. The USA Film Festival has been going for close to 30 years now and their annual Oscar watching parties have been the only ones sanctioned by AMPAS for the last 16 years. The event is always a good time - guests are encouraged to come in their red carpet best - or in their pajamas, watch the event on the big screen and take home an official Oscar program. It's the next best thing to actually being at the Kodak Theatre - and it's all for a good cause.”
