Mad Max meets The Wire in this debut feature by British-born filmmaker and visual artist Lofty Nathan. The documentary, three years in the making, details the exploits of an infamous pack dirt bike riding youths as they pop wheelies and evade police, zig zagging through Baltimore’s streets at breakneck speed. Told primarily through the eyes of the precocious Pug, an adolescent obsessed with one day becoming a 12 O’Clock Boy himself, the critically acclaimed documentary earned Nathan an HBO Emerging Artist Award when he screened it at the Hot Docs Film Festival.
