Unlimited food, beverages, LIVE entertainment, music & games including Fire Dancers, DJ, taiko drums
On Sunday, July 28 2013, L.A. landmark restaurant CHAYA Brasserie Beverly Hills will host its Summer Festival, the opening event of an exclusively designed three-month series of festivities celebrating CHAYA’s 30th anniversary in honor of its rich culinary heritage. The event will embody a gastronomic and live entertainment playground, in the tradition of and paying tribute to the ceremonial feasts and vibrant festivals of CHAYA’s Japanese roots and its unprecedented 400-year history of restaurants consecutively owned and operated by the Tsunoda family of the original CHAYA locations in Japan and the four locations in California.
As part of this can’t-miss-event, guests will be invited to enjoy unlimited specialty food experiences designed by venerable Executive Corporate Chef Shigefumi Tachibe, the original opening chef for the CHAYA Restaurants, specialty "Dirty Thirty" cocktails, beer, wine & sake, and LIVE performances by The Gumbo Brothers, The Crown City Bombers, DJ Eric Sharp, Fire Groove Fire Dancers, along with traditional Japanese Taiko Drummers, a renowned Tarot Card reader, and Japanese games among many more festival activities. A portion of the proceeds from the Festival benefit Share Our Strength’s mission to end Child Hunger, allowing guests to have a great time for a great cause.
Additionally, guests can look forward to festivities that will be held throughout the summer and fall to honor CHAYA’s legacy, including a month-long “A Family Affair” Anniversary Chef’s Menu featured in August. The festivities will culminate with a chef tribute dinner in October featuring Michelin-star CHAYA Chef Kuniaki Kozuka of the original Hikage Chaya in Japan for a limited-engagement menu.
