A stunning photography exhibition revealing the intimate spaces in Chinatown

Art

A Floating Population

Museum of Chinese in America (215 Centre Street, New York, NY, United States) Map it $10

In A Floating Population, Annie Ling's photography reveals the deep connections between the people and spaces of Chinatown. Ling refutes stereotypes and surface impressions of the iconic New York neighborhood by capturing intimate images of its residents, especially immigrants and the elderly. What makes Ling unique from other photographers is that she spends meaningful time with her subjects, alone and with their families. MOCA will present four bodies of her work: "81 Bowery," "Shut-Ins," "Tenements," and "A Floating Population." Don't miss this stunning collection, on display until April 4th.
