In celebration of its 37th birthday, the Union Square Greenmarket is staying up a little later, until 8pm in fact. In the business of promoting regional agriculture and giving New Yorkers access to the freshest, locally grown food in the region, the market has organized quite a to-do for its extended hours. In addition to its regular farmers, a curated roster of restaurants, including Craft, Telepan, Tocqueville and Union Square Café, are preparing food for the event. Live music courtesy of the Blue Vipers and Greenmarket beer are also on tap. And, if you register to attend, you can receive a night pass that entitles you to $1 off each dish.
