Hear about the fascinating life of actress/director Anjelica Huston as she converses w/ Colm Tóibín.
Academy Award-winner Anjelica Huston discusses her remarkable life in “A Story Lately Told: Coming of Age in Ireland, London, and New York.” Beginning with her childhood in Ireland and continuing with her young adulthood in the vital artistic milieus of London and New York City, Huston’s life has been nothing if not unique – as the daughter of film director John Huston and prima ballerina Enrica Soma, she was photographed as a mere toddler by the great Robert Capa and experienced a childhood where visits from movie stars and literary titans was routine. Huston sits down at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre with Colm Tóibín, one of Ireland’s greatest contemporary writers. The evening will also include a musical performance by The Americans, along with rare film footage of the Huston family back in Ireland.
ALOUD is presented by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
