An Absolut Vodka reception precedes the classic film that exhorts viewers to "Live! Live! Live!"
The original film adaptation of Patrick Dennis' 1955 book "Auntie Mame" returns to the big screen at OutFest's eleventh-annual presentation of the timeless screen gem. A riches-to-rags (then back to riches) tale starring the fast-talking Rosalind Russell, "Auntie Mame" is packed with outlandish interior décor, flashy costumes, extraordinary personae, and plot twists with more punch than Mame's famed bootleg martinis. Russell's portrayal of the zany dame garnered her an Academy Award nomination, as well as a Golden Globe for Best Actress.
