The brand-new Apres at Westwood's W Hotel is a winter chalet with fondue, fire pits, and more.
OK, so it doesn't have an ice rink (as far as we can tell), but the brand-new Après at Westwood's W Hotel is an ersatz winter chalet with fondue, fire pits, a photo booth, and Veuve champagne cocktails, taking place on the hotel's reworked WET deck. Executive Chef Dakota Weiss serves up stuff like the Savory Fondue for Two, which includes the Miss Swiss (garlic, gruyere cheese, and sherry) and the Dive Bar (bacon, cheddar, and IPA beer). The Sweet Fondue for Two, in turn, includes the Sweet Hot (Himalayan salt, dark chocolate, and pink peppercorns) and the Snowflake (marshmallow, white chocolate, and coconut). Finally, the make-your-own S'mores features yummy ingredients that include three different kinds of chocolate, graham crackers, and homespun marshmallow. Heaven.
