Artist Olivier Mosset curates tonight's musical mash-up
In conjunction with Olivier Mosset’s “Exposition de groupe,” the artist has organized this evening's entertainment, which features the former king of skronk, Arto Lindsay, and multi-instrumentalist Cory Henry. Lindsay, born in Virginia and raised in Brazil, adopted New York as his home in the 1970s and went on to play in the seminal no-wave trio DNA, as well as the Lounge Lizards and Golden Palominos before birthing the late-'80s avant-pop group Ambitious Lovers with Peter Scherer. He's since enjoyed a healthy solo career and has been known to canoodle with the likes of They Might Be Giants, Animal Collective, John Zorn, David Byrne, Laurie Anderson, and Bill Frisell. Tonight Lindsay is joined by Henry, a rising star whose instrument of choice is the organ. Recently on tour with Snarky Puppy, Henry is likely to preview new tunes, as well as play selections from his 2012 release, Gotcha Now Doc.
