Chef Robby Cook of Morimoto tries his hand at bar food
Rather than stew until next summer, the boys behind the ever popular BBQ Blowout have teamed up with Pork Slope to present a new indoor series, Bar Food Blowout. The premise is quite simple: chefs are invited to serve up their own interpretation of bar food. Patrons should know not to expect your garden variety mozzarella sticks, nachos and buffalo wings at this food shindig. Stepping up to the stove for the series opener is Robby Cook, head sushi chef of Morimoto NYC. Also along for the evening are Brooklyn Brewery, Food Republic and Lemonade, who provides the musical refreshment.
