A fundraiser to help Cayuga Pure Organics rebuild their fire-damaged barn

We're having a Barn Raising! Here at the Brooklyn Kitchen, we are dedicated to good food through strong community. When we heard one of our neighbors up north had a barn fire we knew we needed to gather together to help out.

Cayuga Pure Organics, located in upstate New York, focuses on responsibly grown organic grains and beans.  Back in May, CPO suffered a tragic accident that resulted in the loss of their beanery, which housed their production, processing, and packaging facility. This fire has been a considerable set-back for an amazing company that we at the Brooklyn Kitchen are proud to source from. 

We've got a great list of helping hands providing tasty food and drinks, so join us August 29th for a Barn Raising fundraiser! We will have snacks courtesy of Gramercy Tavern featuring CPO beans and grains and produce will be provided by many of the great farms who work with NYC Green Markets. Chris Basso will be pouring his beer from Newburgh Brewery, and Tom Macy of the Clover Club is coming up with some signature cocktails with gin courtesy of New York Distilling Company. All of the proceeds from this event will go to fund the rebuilding of Cayuga Pure Organic's facility, so join in the fun and we'll see you in the 29th!
