Like a pub crawl, but with food.
After tremendous successes in NYC, Chicago, and Charleston, Bon Appétit’s Grub Crawl hits LA on October 26. Like a pub crawl, but featuring food from some of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants, Angelenos have the option of attending two unique Grub Crawl events. Each featuring visits to five restaurants and bars, the daytime event focuses on Venice’s Abbot Kinney Avenue, while the evening event, held in Downtown, is highlighted by a visit to Alma, Bon Appétit’s Restaurant of the Year 2013. Also included in the Downtown event: a kickoff event at the French-accented rooftop bistro Perch; the debut of Orsa & Winston, Chef Josef Centano’s new Italian restaurant making its debut this evening; the much-acclaimed Bar Amá, and the 1940s supper club vibe of Broadway Bar. The Abbot Kinney event will include a kickoff event at Salt Air; a chance to unwind at popular bar The Brig; the unique, modern comfort food at 3 Square Bakery and Café; a visit to Barnyard on Pacific Avenue; and Local 1205/The Otheroom. At Local 1205, you’ll sample from an array of oysters, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, cheeses, charcuterie, and pizzas, while you’ll indulge in special beer and wine tastings in The Otheroom. See below for a 20% off discount on the Abbot Kinney event. Both events promise to be memorable events for LA foodies.
