Exhibited by Boo-Hooray at Gavin Brown's Enterprise, and curated by Cornell Hip Hop Collection founder Johan Kugelberg, this show highlights the personal narratives and archives of hip hop's grand architect Afrika Bambaataa, the late master of hip hop design Buddy Esquire, Wild Style director Charlie Ahearn, and photographer Joe Conzo. You'll find such treasures as hand-written lyrics by Afrika Bambaataa, hand-painted clothing by Buddy Esquire, and recordings of rare live early hip hop performances.
