DUMBO ARTS FESTIVAL 2013
SEPTEMBER 28, 2013 : 12pm - 2pm, DUMBO, Brooklyn
presented by association of Unicycle Productions LLC / re:artiste
DUMBO Art Festival, a 3-day event presenting over 200 national and international artists of all disciplines, attended by over 200,000 revelers over the course of three days (this year September 27-29th 2013,) welcomes the rarely seen in New York Andrey Bartenev, who remains at the forefront of the Russian performance art.
On September 28th, at 12pm Andrey will triumphantly descend on DUMBO by East River Ferry in the company of 60 to120 absurd fantasias (costumed performers), accompanied by soundscapes created live with percussion and brass, bubble performances by the Gazillion Bubble Show and festival revelers, moving through the streets of DUMBO as a unified growing organism. Directed by Mei Ann Teo (Columbia University) the procession will deliver a message of harmony and hope with a healthy dash of sheer extravagance.
We invite festival audiences to join the procession and bring a manifestation of their own dream in a form of a costume or an object, or simply use a bubble gun. The procession will gather
at Pier 1, Brooklyn Bridge Park, East River Ferry (Old Fulton Street & Furman St) at 12pm and proceed through the streets of Dumbo via Water Street, Pearl Street Triangle, Jane's Carousel, culminating in front of the Tobacco Warehouse.
