Mindaugis Bagdon hosts this screening of William S. Burroughs' avant-garde short films

On February 5th, 1914, one of the foremost literary innovators and avant-garde artists of the 20th century was born to a wealthy family in St. Louis, Missouri. On this (almost) 100th anniversary of William S. Burroughs’ entry into the world of the living, City Lights Bookstore presents a collection of the Naked Lunch author’s films: Towers Open Fire, The Cut-Ups, and Bill and Tony. Tonights event is hosted by Bay Area filmmaker and film historian Mindaugis Bagdon, of the infamous San Francisco punk zine Search and Destroy.
