A massive free outdoor concert with five stages takes over Times Square
We're still pinching ourselves, because this CBGB festival show seems too good to be true: My Morning Jacket, Grizzly Bear, the Divine Fits, the Wallflowers and more in Times Square for free? Honestly, there must be some sort of catch. Will Willem Dafoe greet us at 42nd street wielding a pen and asking us to sign some sort of contract? Or maybe all the dead punks performed a divine intervention. Whatever the case, we're eager to hear the angelic voices of Jim James and Ed Droste reverberate off the buildings. In addition to the bands, which play on multiple stages, expect interactive installations, rock climbing, a record fair, a silent disco, and other surprises.
