Mo-chica, Downtown’s widely acclaimed cantina featuring Chef Ricardo Zarate’s updated Peruvian cuisine, celebrates Peru’s National Independence Day this weekend with a special three-course prix fixe menu. The menu, available on both July 27 and July 28, emphasizes the vibrant flavors Zarate is celebrated for. The first course, Vichiyssoise, is made with Peruvian potato, leeks, parmesan crisp, and huacatay oil. The main course, Roasted Black Cod, is accented with Aji amarillo choclo pepian, green asparagus, summer truffle, and Botija olive, while dessert, White Peach Spiced Strussel, is topped with Aji Amarillo (Peruvian yellow hot pepper) whipped cream.
