An uninterrupted stream of music, images, drawings and mind-bending acrobatics
We interrupt the holiday season to bring you a special announcement. Cirque Éloize has invaded the NYU Skirball Center with one of its newest creations, Cirkopolis, and you should see it at all costs. Friendly, fun and delightfully entertaining, the show, which is co-directed by the brilliant acrobatic engineer Jeannot Painchaud and Cirque du Soleil choreographer Dave St-Pierre, is an exciting blend of of circus arts, theater, music and dance that finds office workers rebelling against a factory-minded society. Acrobats leap from file cabinets, men hang from ropes without a safety net in sight and beautiful ballerinas spin elegantly through hoops in this modest, yet captivating production. Better act quick if you want to catch this stellar circus, they are scheduled to take off after their performances on January 5th.
