This free, hip, low-frills celebration of comics and cartoon art returns to Williamsburg for its fifth year. Splitting time between Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and Knitting Factory, this year's edition is powered by Desert Island, and features over 50 artists and publishers eager to display, sell and discuss their work. Among the illustrious characters expected are Paul Auster, Art Spiegelman, Katie Skelly and Lisa Hanawalt. Also, various area venues are getting with the one-day program; Mishka Store presents an exhibition of Heather Benjamin's dark art, the Spectacle Theater screens the films of Dash Snow with a Q&A, and Union Pool hosts the official after party with live music by Jeff Lewis, The Marcellus Hall Band and the Susquhanna Industrial Tool and Die Co.
