Including a screening of "Blokes You Can Trust," Cosmic Psychos' documentary

One can be forgiven if "Cosmic Psychos" doesn't exactly ring any bells; the farm boys from Australia who blazed a path through the '80s and '90s underground are the very definition of esoteric. Cosmic Psychos were too weird for most, playing heavy fuzzed-out guitar with punk attitude on tracks like "Dead Roo" and "Hooray F*ck" that never won them mainstream acclaim, but helped pave the way for grunge bands like Nirvana and the Melvins; Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder were among the more prominent members of their cult following. A screening of Blokes You Can Trust (2013), a documentary chronicling the origin and rise of Cosmic Psycho's 30-year-and-counting career, screens before their live performance, filling in the uninformed on the magic they are about to witness.
