Brooklyn's Crystal Stilts are noise pop perfection
Few bands capture the sound and energy of the late 80’s underground scene without coming off as merely a slavish tribute to the era as well Brooklyn, New York’s Crystal Stilts. The echo laden quintet would feel right at home amongst the Paisley Underground or alongside the Jesus and Mary Chain, the Pastels, Felt, or any number of bands off the Creation Records roster at its peak. As it is, they’re forced to carry the torch into a new millenium with only a handful of sparse but on point releases. Their latest LP “Nature Noir,” only the third in a decade, is out now on Sacred Bones Records.
